How We Help

assisting people in need

The picture on this page shows a small homeless encampment along the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH.

A flash flood of freezing cold water swept into this camp with no warning in the middle of a cold December night nearly drowning seven people inside their tents in sleeping bags. It was only by the grace of God that they all survived.

That morning in frigid temperatures Shepherd’s Way volunteers were there to help. They handed out hot coffee and hot chocolate, food, warm coats, dry clothing and footwear, hygiene items, new tents, and blankets. And, throughout the winter Shepherd's Way volunteers worked to help these individuals and dozens of other homeless people in Manchester.

It's what we do. We help people in need.

Matthew '25:35, For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.., 36, I needed clothes and you clothed me....'

At Shepherd's Way we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We operate three programs to help the homeless and underprivileged:

Help With Basics

Coats & Boots

Help The Kids

Help With Basics assists homeless people who are living on the streets or in encampments. It operates year-round providing basic essentials such as hygiene items, food and water.

Coats & Boots operates during the cold months supplying winter coats and boots to homeless people who struggle to stay warm outside in the elements.

Help The Kids operates in the cold months providing hats, mittens and gloves to children who need them.

We also have a 'Partners Program' where we share goods with other charitable groups. This sharing partnership gives homeless people more opportunities to get what they need.
